The department conducts blended functions of Training Secondary school and offering CPD (Continuous Professional Department) CPD will be done through open learning that will be through distance education and evening classes.

Within this book, we shed light on the profound sacrifices and hardships you endure from the adversity of mining and metallurgy industries’ salient impacts in the pursuit of your Households’ life. As the relentless wheels of national economic progress, it is often you who bear the burden of the environmental consequences. Year after year you face injustices from your daily cries which have not been heard by government officials. The toll on your health, the loss of your lands, and the erosion of your cultural heritage are not to be taken lightly. You, the guardians of nature's beauty and integrity, deserve recognition for the challenges you face daily. Your lives, once harmoniously intertwined with nature, now bear the weight of disruption, pollution, and environmental degradation. The lands, once original and abundant, now bear witness to the scars left by industrialization. The air, once pure and refreshing, now hangs heavy with pollutants, and your water, once crystal clear, now flows tainted with the remnants of progress. But through it all, you continue persisting.
